If you have been a member for a single day or 50 years, there is a committee that needs YOU!  A new member may be thinking "what can I offer, I don't know that much about the association" while a tenured member might think "we're moving forward, my ideas are from the past" and may think they have nothing to offer.  But neither is further from exactly who Texas ALP needs on committees and as chairmen.  New members have fresh ideas, innovative ways to get things done quickly and efficiently; and tenured members have history, they know what worked in the past. 

You may be thinking you do not have much time to give to your association because you have a career and a family.  With everyone working together no one has to give much time.  Won't you please take a minute today to review the brief descriptions for each committee.  Complete the preference sheet, and send it to Betty Wells, PP, PLS, TSC.  If you are not sure which committee could use your talents send in a preference sheet with the words "wherever the association needs me" and Betty will call you.
